Comic Book Night In-Person
Meet Chris Ring, commercial illustrator for over 20 years and John Yorty owner of Yukon Cards and Comics at this free comic book night. Chris Ring brings you in on the creative process that goes into creating memorable characters and stories. From a writer’s perspective, we’ll explore brainstorming, archetypes and traits of strong and enduring characters. From there we’ll move on to the illustrator’s job of making characters come alive and the tools available to create comics and children’s books in any art style imaginable. Chris is selling his artwork after the presentation. John Yorty is selling comic books during the event. Also on display find a small comic book display titled, “Comic Books Through the Ages” that features comic books from the 1940s to the present day.
