The West End Library invites young readers of all ages to take part in the Maverick Market Reading Challenge, an engaging and rewarding program running from February through March. Participants are encouraged to stop by the West End Library to pick up a Reading Passport and fill it with books they read throughout the challenge! Each entry includes the book’s title, author, and number of pages. Readers can also add a creative touch by writing a brief description, sharing their thoughts about the book, or drawing a picture inspired by a favorite moment. Once a passport is completed and returned to the West End Library, participants will receive a stamp and $25 in Maverick Dollars, redeemable at the Maverick Market. This challenge pairs with the library’s financial literacy program, giving young readers a hands-on opportunity to explore spending, saving, and making choices in a real-world market setting. The Maverick Market Reading Challenge promotes literacy, creativity, and community partnerships while offering young readers a motivating reason to keep turning pages and learning about money management.
